Water in the news

In the edition of the gold coast sun on Wednesday september 5 one has to ponder the council relationship withthe MacDonalds clown Ronald. Daphne MacDonald spoke out again about wasting water claiming people used more water with the recent rains implying people were spending extra time in the shower or extra showers. She went on to say that the recent rain 190mm would only supply the area for about 20 days once again highlighting the lack of responsibility of the current council and FAILURE IN THEIR JOBS. This recent increase in usage may have been attributed to the fact people had to catch up on washing amongst other things or EVEN the fact the council / government has still failed to insulate the pipes in homes and offices. This insulation could reduce water usage by around 20 million litres of water a day.
