Most of the afternoon I have been at Mike Leibners page for optimizing keywords. This was because I want to help you find our pages better and easier.

Government may be forced to refund millions in the wake of the new water policies they have made.
Tenants and landlords should prepare themselves for the 2008 changes to the water regulations coming into force in many areas in Australia. The government should also brace themselves for this controversial turn around as the owners landlords and tenants may unite and start asking them for the extra monies needed to implement this plan of theirs. This appears to be a rather strange thought of the government raising more money from tenants especially when the tenants are out there on their own most of the time battling to pay the lubricous rents that landlords are demanding.
The councils implementing this water change over are facing backlash from the tenants also by on the Gold coast alone having to refund around $30 million to around 50,000 landlords to be passed onto around 50,000 tenants. Then the landlords will have to reduce rents by around $25 a fortnight and on top of this the government should be made to pay the 2 weeks rent to have new leases drawn up all before this plan of theirs comes into play.
As mentioned in one of our previous posts the government should now be rent controlling most of the rental properties to ensure work is carried out by these greedy landlords to rectify millions of litres of water being wasted by their negligence. It is in our opinion that should you wish to be a landlord you must sit a test and agree to make the property to be rented as environmentally friendly as possible. Furthermore should you decide to neglect your property as many landlords do then you lose the right to charge rent for a period of time and the government collects this money instead to enable the repairs to be done.
Such as tenants should not have to waste money going out and purchasing buckets to collect rainwater in, the landlords should install at least one 4000 litre rain tank. The properties should also be insulated to save around 2 million litres of water a day just in Queensland alone: Not to mention the greenhouse reduction in heating and cooling. Also landlords should be made to have solar hot water and at least three solar power outlets. There should be a mandatory annual inspection of properties to ensure landlords are staying up with repairs.
So what do you think about the many property investors who sit back in their pools with their air conditioners running bludging off the poor working class tenants who battle to pay the ever increasing rents.
Once again all of the media is requested NOW to harass the government to sort something out about this BIG environmental rental property and price / wages ISSUE and make life more fair for the good old Aussie battler…
It is highly unfair that landlords / real estates get away with renting properties out with so many problems and nothing gets done about this issue. Only the bad tenants hit the news what about exposing the real estates and landlords. Let’s see how the landlords like it now they have been exposed or at least about 80 percent of them.
