Water in the news full

In the edition of the gold coast sun on Wednesday september 5 one has to ponder the council relationship withthe MacDonalds clown Ronald. Daphne MacDonald spoke out again about wasting water claiming people used more water with the recent rains implying people were spending extra time in the shower or extra showers. She went on to say that the recent rain 190mm would only supply the area for about 20 days once again highlighting the lack of responsibility of the current council and FAILURE IN THEIR JOBS.

This recent increase in usage may have been attributed to the fact people had to catch up on washing amongst other things or EVEN the fact the council / government has still failed to insulate the pipes in homes and offices. This insulation could reduce water usage by around 20 million litres of water a day.

1mm rain per square metre of area equals around 1 litre of water. Bearing this in mind the rainfall between 16 august and 26 august 193mm would have been more than enough water for 6 months or more had the councils and governments sorted out the 40 odd year continuing water problem.

Not only recently but in the past we have devised a number of solutions for governments and councils only to be told you are not accredited by International or Australian Standards. This just goes to highlight the lack of actual standards these organisations appear to have. Otherwise we would not have this water crisis contining for round 40 years. One of our solutiions would save an average of 30 million litres of water a day however the council do not seem to have a problem with this waste until as above they want some publicity.

This council was elected to repair the ailing city of Gold Coast and its problems, not just to get another pay rise and keep on getting reports. After 40 odd years their should be a report somewhere that says how to fix the water supply as Sir Bruce Small advised round 40 years ago. We pay our rates and rents and a host of other fees & taxes to the council / government and get a lot of mostly nothing back only restrictions; like you cannot use water but pay us the LUDICROUS amounts of money for our new buildings, houses or cars etc that we ask for.

Should council require any further advice they should feel free to pay our standard rate of $133 per hour to help them to sort them out; as we have provided a number of solutions to date that are easily implemented and have not been nor have we been compensated for the damage council have caused due to their negligence.

WE REALLY NEED TO GET SOME DECENT PEOPLE VOTED IN AT THE NEXT ELECTION who are going to FIX this water problem. Another of our solutions is to sack all of the current councils members excluding Dawn Crinchlow and maybe keep Rob Molhoek as a councilor as the rest seem to be completely useless just using the above examples relating to water.
